May 22nd-27th Stray Rescue Honors Those Who Served our Country!

Serving in the military is all about loyalty: to our country and its values, to your unit, to your brothers and sisters in arms. In that same spirit, we are excited to adopt loyal four-legged friends to their new heroes.

Where Are They Now? - Vera

When Vera came to Stray Rescue she had a severe case of mange. Her skin was painful from being so pink and infected. Thankfully, this is a condition that can be treated and fairly quickly get her some relief. Vera started feeling better and with that, her personality really began to show. She had the sweetest disposition! It didn't take long at all for her new family to find her and decide she needed to be the newest member.

Trapped No More – The Rescue of Athens and Adonis

When we get a call about an emaciated dog, we never know what to expect. Sometimes that means that the dog’s ribs are showing, and other times they’re walking skeletons. We received a call like this today and were also told that there was another dog with her who wouldn’t leave her side. And, they were in an abandoned house. So off we went with hot dogs in hand, unsure of what to expect.
