Snapshot's rescue was one that we will never forget. It's not that the rescue itself was difficult, it's the fact that when we came around the corner of the house what we saw was a skeleton of a dog. Barely able to stand, flies eating away at her ears and the look of defeat in her eyes. Snapshot should have weighed around 55lbs, but at the time of her rescue she weighed just 22lbs. Snapshot gained weight and became a happy, healthy girl. She has been adopted and is part of a family that loves her very much.
Here's what the Fritts family has to say about Snapshot...
Snapshot (now Lucy) was supposed to be our first foster, but that plan failed miserably. We fell in love hard & fast! As soon as we got her home, it felt like she had always been part of our family. She fit in & got along so well with her three brothers (2 human, 1 canine). We knew what we had to do... The next day, we submitted an application to adopt. This is her forever home. We are her people.
Understandably, she was nervous & timid at first, especially around males she had never met. Now, she greets everyone with a (vicious!) wagging tail, begging for attention. We've earned her trust. No one will hurt her here. Our mornings begin with Lucy running into our room, jumping onto the bed, and smothering us with kisses...as if she truly missed us during the night. At each feeding, it never fails…before she starts eating, she looks at me & raises her nose into the air (if I'm close enough, I'll get some kisses), as if she's saying, Thank you. Thank you so much.
These are a few of her favorite things:
We love Lucy so much! Thank you, Randy & Stray Rescue, for saving our girl's life.
