Abacus

Abacus is working on his counting.  He's trying to see how many tennis balls he can stuff into his mouth at one time.  The answer is "one."  To get a second ball, he'll have to drop the first, and that just isn't going to happen.  But even with his mouth full of his favorite toy, he can still give you an ear-to-ear grin.  He's just one happy guy.

Abacus loves an adventure.  Like any adolescent boy skipping school, he is always excited to get out of the shelter and go somewhere.  He doesn't care where he goes - he just wants to go.  Abacus is a great car rider.  He smiles at everything zipping by his window.  His best adventure so far was the five mile hike he got to attend with his shelter buddies.  He really got into all the sights and sounds of the trail, but he also can be calmed down easily.  The more outdoor fun Abacus gets, the more he will learn about how good life can be for a dog.

Abacus has one trait not often seen in dogs.  He is more interested in love than in treats.  There's a big heart in this guy.  He needs a home where he could have lots of great experiences, tons of love - and, OK, he'll take a few treats, too.
