Appalachia came to Stray Rescue from a rural shelter in Tennessee. They had been trying to catch her for several weeks because she was pregnant. Finally safe with them she had 4 adorable babies. Appalachia was a bit feral at the time, so the shelter contacted Stray Rescue. They had heard about the wonderful work Randy has done rehabilitating feral dogs. Appalachia has made great strides since she's been with us. She is starting to enjoy human contact and will eat hot dogs out of our hands. She still hasn't mastered walking on a leash yet, but in time she'll do just fine. For now she'll need a home with a secure fenced yard. She gets along with other low key dogs but would also do fine in a home where she is the only pet. She is 100% house broken and not destructive. Appalachia is a very special girl who needs that very special family to adopt her. She is spayed, micro chipped and current on her vaccinations. If you would like to meet her please fill out one of the online applications and we'll be in touch.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE ADOPTION STATUS BEFORE APPLYING TO MAKE SURE THERE ISN'T ALREADY AN ADOPTION PENDING.
PLEASE NOTE THAT APPALACHIA IS IN OUR PINE STREET SHELTER.
