Australia was rescued along with her mom and 5 siblings. When she first came in, she was very scared of everything, especially people, due to her never being around any prior to her rescue.
Australia is still learning to fully enjoy the comforts of a real home and to trust new people. She'll need a home that's patient with her as she continues to build her confidence; she's getting braver each day, though! It doesn't take her long to warm up to new people, and once she does, she's as sweet as can be - she absolutely loves being petted, giving kisses, and cuddling with you on the couch.
She's also a very smart little girl who knows how to sit, go into her crate on command, and is completely housebroken. She sleeps quietly in her crate through the night and while her foster parents are at work. Australia LOVES playing (with dogs and people alike), especially fetch, and she gets along great with all the dogs in the home. She currently lives with a younger foster puppy sibling and adult resident dogs and she gets along great with all of them. Australia has to go to a forever home that has another playful, confident dog to continue showing her the ropes.
PLEASE NOTE THAT AUSTRALIA IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
