Stray Rescue could have named this adorable girl "Courage" because she has so much of it.  But Cheer fits her just as well because she comes through her many situations with such good cheer as well as courage.

Cheer was pregnant when she first came to Stray Rescue.  Her pups are big now and independent.  Cheer is ready to find her own forever home.  She is quite the lady, even though she does look like she could hold her own in any situation.  Raising puppies out on the street, you have to be tough.

Cheer has been on a five mile hike with her shelter friends and tested herself the whole way.  Well, first she had to rest up.  A girl can't go hiking without a good nap, so she climbed into the front seat of the car, curled up into a ball, and snoozed the whole way.  Sleeping is much more fun than driving.  On the trail she liked to set the pace and kept it up the whole way.  She wasn't going to let those boy dogs tell her she couldn't do it.  One dog did a spontaneous "roll over" trick.  Cheer watched and then started her own rolls without a hesitation.  Perhaps her biggest challenge came when she had to cross a bridge.  She was very nervous about sticking her paws onto this narrow, wooden "thing," but she did it.  First one paw and then all the rest.  Cheer decided that stretching out in the back seat of the car was much more comfy than sitting in the front, so she napped all the way home, hopefully dreaming of other obstacles she can conquer.

Cheer is just a great dog who is learning about how great she can be.  She needs her second chance to bloom into that perfect companion.   And she promises to hold your paw whenever you cross over scary bridges.
