Eagle, along with his brother, was rescued from an empty house back in December. They were hard to catch because they had been born on the streets and had minimal contact with humans up to that point. He didn't make much progress with socialization in the shelter, but once he went to foster in January he really came out of his shell! He's perfectly potty trained. He likes to snuggle but is also fine sleeping in his crate at night and when his foster mom isn't home. He lives with another puppy and several adult dogs in his foster home, and gets along with all of them. He's met a cat and although initially he was fearful and barky, seemed to settle down when he realized the cat wasn't a threat. He loves to play with balls and squeak toys. He's learning to walk on a leash and learning to like the car, especially when the leash and car means a trip to doggie daycare or the park. He can jump really high, so he needs a privacy fence or an adopter that will walk him regularly. A dog buddy would help him adjust to a new home quickly, but with a patient adopter he would also do fine as an only dog. His foster mom says it's such a joy to watch him improve every day! Eagle is neutered and up to date on vaccinations, so he's ready for his new home right now!
PLEASE NOTE THAT EAGLE IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
