Irma thinks that if she can just pull that leash a little further away, she might be safe. Sad to say she came into Stray Rescue pretty beat up and definitely shy around people She has known a lot of fear in her short life. But bless her heart, she is working diligently on becoming a great dog. She has progressed to doing OK on the leash, but she still gets scared at times.
Irma will need patience and a loving approach to convince her that life in a home is the best thing ever. She's beginning to understand that many people love and support her and want her to become a great dog. Wouldn't you like to join the group of Irma-helpers? She would love to meet you, and the two of you could even take a nice walk together.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IRMA IS IN A FOSTER HOME, NOT AT OUR SHELTER.
PLEASE CHECK STATUS BEFORE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ADOPTION PENDING.
