Smidge

Hi, I’m Smidge!  I’ll bet the first thing you noticed about me is my awesome ears, my foster mom says they have a personality of their own!  When I’m on a walk or when I’m excited they stick straight up but when I’m tired or looking for some attention they pivot around and stick straight out, she says I look like some character named Yoda……whoever that is!?  I love to go for walks so I could be a really good workout partner for you whether you like to walk, hike or jog, it doesn’t matter to me!

 I would love to live in a home with another playful dog, I currently live with two other dogs but they are crabby and don’t want to play with me. One of my favorite activities is going to The Watering Bowl to play with other dogs for the day, I have a blast!!!  I also really like kids, I currently live with one in my foster home and we have a really good time together.

 I’m polite around people food, when its dinner time I go to my bed and play with a toy until they are finished eating.  I take treats gently and know I’m supposed to sit before I get to do anything like go for a walk, get fed, get a treat, etc.  I also know how to “leave it” which has come in handy a couple times when I’ve gotten confused about who’s toys are who’s……oops! 

When my foster mom goes to work she lets me free in the house and I’ve never chewed on anything (other than my toys) and I don’t make any messes in the house.  I am also crate trained so if you prefer I hang out in my crate while you’re gone that’s fine with me too!

I definitely have a lazy streak too….at the end of the day I love to cuddle up next to my foster family to watch TV.  If it sounds like we’d be a perfect fit please fill out an application, I can’t wait to meet you!!!
