Babs was rescued as part of our Abandoned Not Forgotten program. Seems her family moved away and left her and her friend Billy in the garage to starve to death. Upon rescue both dogs were emaciated and barely able to stand. Babs seemed to be in just a bit better shape than Billy. Although they lost a lot of weight, they never did lose their zest for life. Both dogs were all kisses and tail wags. Babs is now back to a healthy weight and has been spayed. She loves going for walks with the volunteers and playing ball in the shelter yard. She seems to get along very well with other dogs but would need to be in a cat free home. She would also benefit from doggie obedience classes. She'll most likely be the most beautiful dog there. And the smartest, too. If you would like to meet Babs please fill out one of our adoption applications and we'll be in touch.
