The Panda Program: A hospice foster program for dogs

The Panda program was formed through the inspiration of a rescued dog that while old, blind, deaf and with limited time left on this earth, she is still happy and enjoys a good quality of life. Fulfilling this need for the companion animal and not euthanizing the dog just because it is diagnosed with a terminal illness or other life-threatening ailments are the program’s primary goal. A dog showing desires for a good quality life, pain free, will be ensured they achieve this end of life filled with love and safety for their final weeks, months or year.

·         The foster will care and love the dog, providing safety, comfort, and food.

·         The foster will arrange and take care of all veterinarian appointments.

·         Stray Rescue, along with the foster and vet, will make decisions together when the quality of life is no longer there for the dog and euthanasia may be needed.

·         No dog will die alone.

·         Stray Rescue will cover ALL costs as needed. This will include all medical costs as well as supplies needed for the dog.
