Rescue of Penske-UPDATE: See Penske's Amazing Life Saving Surgery!

Hit by a car a neighborhood resident’s call saved this special boys life.

Penske is a dog that we had care for on the streets for many months. His rescue never came because of space. Space at the shelter is always an issue and we are forced to triage the street dogs when we are full. Sadly his rescue came because he was hit by car, the driver never stopped to see the damage they had done.

Lucky for Penske, he crawled under a caring woman's front porch and she called Stray Rescue. When we got there our hearts broke. His back leg was something out of a horror film. Thanks to Dr. Ed at Hillside Animal Hospital he got emergency care right away. We don't know if his leg will be able to be saved but his life will.
