Winter is our most difficult time at Stray Rescue- Help us help them!

Winter is the saddest part of the year for Stray Rescue. Knowing that many of our street dog friends will die from hunger and the elements haunts us each day. Each day as we venture out we see the toll that the cold elements take on what is suppose to be “man’s best friend”.
Your holiday gifts allow us to step up our rescue efforts during the winter cold but we need your help to save those still shivering on the streets. This is the time of year when frost bitten paws are common making walking painful for them and for us to watch. Looking into abandoned homes, we often see 5-6 dogs lying on top of each other trying to stay warm. Sadly we find many dogs frozen to death.
Easy ways to help are through the website's PayPal option; donate to Stray Rescue as you check out at any Dierbergs, opening your home as a foster parent, volunteering at the shelter, donating supplies and spreading the word.
Let’s make this winter a bit easier on the strays and hopefully more success stories like “Daddy Lab” shown below who is living proof Stray Rescue performs the miracle of life with your kind hearts and help.
