We were busy setting up for our largest fundraiser of the year when we got a call about a dog in bad shape, just laying on a porch. She was right where the caller said she would be. As we approached, she just cowered. She looked so scared and defeated. She allowed us to put the slip lead on and lead her right to the jeep. Never once putiing up any sort of resistance. This girl was ready for a better life, and I really think she knew that's where she was headed.
Here's what the adoptive family has to say about Yukon Cornelia, now Jemma...
My children had been begging to get another pet for some time. I stumbled across Stray Rescue by accident on Facebook. I went by myself to just "look" at possible pets. I talked with Andrea ( she is part of the Stray Rescue adoption team) at length for what kind of pet I was looking for. The very first dog she brought for me to see was Yukon Cornelia, and I fell in love instantly. So did my children. Stray Rescue is a wonderful organization, and my kids and I couldn't be happier with Yukon Cornelia, now known as Jemma. She fit right into our family immediately. Thank you, Stray Rescue!
